Sam Selker is a Director and Global Subsector Leader for Gaming at Stanton Chase, based in Cleveland and part of the firm’s Mid-Atlantic team. His deepest bench is in mobile gaming, with particular concentration in public Real Money Gaming (RMG) platforms.
His gaming work starts from inside the products themselves. Sam has been a gamer since the NES and Game Boy and still logs hours across PC, console, and mobile. He has watched free-to-play monetization evolve as a player – not a spreadsheet – and he understands these companies as both the games people play and the P&Ls behind them, which sharpens how he evaluates the leaders who run them.
In 2022 he joined Stanton Chase, bringing financial services experience across insurance and fintech. He moved into the North America Technology Practice in 2024, where he is now a key member, and in 2026 joined the Semiconductor practice and was tasked with leading the Global Gaming Subsector.
His searches span mobile gaming, B2B SaaS, ad tech, data analytics, and factory automation, filling roles from VP through the C-suite: presidents, general managers, chief product officers, chief financial officers, chief accounting officers, chief marketing officers, and senior sales executives. Placements include senior leadership at global publicly listed companies, turnaround situations, and the portfolio companies of private equity and growth equity firms. He presents executives whose skills and values match what the client actually needs, on both ends of the table.
What drives the work is specific: Sam wants to build a better world for his son to inherit, and he pursues it by placing candidates of high integrity and responsibility.
Before Stanton Chase, Sam spent more than a decade in residential mortgage lending, guiding clients through one of the largest financial decisions of their lives. That work shapes how he runs a search today: high trust, high stakes, and no shortcuts.
