Before co-founding SmartFin, Ingels was a member of the Investment Committee at Sniper Investments. Until its sale to FIS in 2014, he was the founder and CFO of Clear2Pay, a leading payments technology company. Under his leadership, he grew the company to one of the world’s leaders in payment security software with 1,200 employees in 14 countries. He also co-founded NGData, a big-data firm offering customer intelligence management software and services to track customer behavior in real time; Minos Capital, an early-stage private investment vehicle focused on fintech; and The Glue, a software platform that enables financial services to accelerate innovation and facilitate rapid transformation initiatives.
Ingels is on the board at several tech companies such as Materialise, Itiviti, NGData, UnifiedPost, Itineris, The Glue, Akinon, and Deliverect. He holds a master’s of science degree in political and social sciences and an MBA from the University of Antwerp.
