George Stergiou

George Stergiou is a Business Development and Operations Director at Stanton Chase Athens. He is in charge of developing the business and overseeing the office’s operations. He plays a pivotal role in the continuous growth of the office and acts as the coordinator of business development activities, including partnerships. He leads marketing and branding initiatives and also manages internal HR, operations, and technology.

George has extensive business and corporate development experience in the professional services sector, namely in technology and consulting, both in Greece and abroad.

Before his role at Stanton Chase, George was the General Manager of a rapidly growing FinTech company. Earlier, he led business development for a top audit and advisory firm in Greece. 

George spent over 13 years in senior roles at Thomson Reuters across Geneva, Dubai, and Athens. His titles included Head of New Business in Europe, Managing Director for Southeast Europe, and VP of Strategy and Business Development for regions, including the Middle East, Africa, Russia, and Turkey.

He began his executive career at Alpha Bank and holds a BSc in Management and Organizational Behavior from the American College of Greece and an MSc in Management from Surrey European Management School in the UK.

George has also been an Investment Committee Member and a Non-Executive Board Member for venture capital and venture financing firms, and he has acted as an advisor for several FinTech startups.
