Alan Velecky is a leadership psychologist delivering executive assessments, coaching, and other advisory services to Stanton Chase clients. He is a Chartered Business Psychologist accredited by the British Psychological Society (Associate Fellow) and the Health Professions Council in the UK. He is also an EMCC accredited Executive Coach.
Alan has over 25 years’ experience consulting with global organisations across sectors and geographies. He began his consulting career at Kaisen, a leading UK business psychology firm. His clients included retail organisations such as Marks and Spencer, Boots, and Sainsbury’s; financial services businesses including Barclays, HSBC, and Royal & Sun Alliance; and professional services companies spanning law, accounting and consulting. Later in his career at Kaisen, he led relationships with key clients including Linklaters and Novartis, and served as sector lead for both professional services and healthcare and pharmaceuticals. When Kaisen was acquired by Deloitte, he took responsibility for launching the Public Sector leadership consulting practice, working with government organisations including the Ordnance Survey, the Metropolitan Police, the Department for Work and Pensions, and Transport for London.
Alan has also had two periods in his consulting career running his own company, during which he worked with diverse clients including BP, the European Central Bank, AtkinsRéalis, The Scottish Executive, The College of Policing, and the Trussell Trust (a food bank charity). He has worked internationally in the US, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Italy, and Germany.
Prior to his consulting career, Alan worked in television for 10 years, directing live news programmes for the BBC, ITV, and Middle East Broadcasting Centre.
Alan has a BA in English Language and Literature from Oxford University, a BSc in Psychology from the Open University, and an MSc in Organisational Psychology from City, University of London, as well as a Postgraduate qualification in Applied Neuropsychology from Bristol University.
