Fiona Lavan has been in executive search since 1988 and became an equity partner of Stanton Chase in 1998. She was appointed to the International Board as Vice Chair Regions and Regional Vice President Asia Pacific in 2011, roles she held until the end of 2014. She returned to the International Board from 2019 – 2021 and now leads the Government, Education & Not-for-Profit Practice. She is also Global Sector Leader for Agribusiness. She has handled searches for clients in agribusiness; financial services; industrial; government, education & non-profit; life sciences & healthcare; and logistics & transportation, particularly port & rail management, across Australia, the Pacific and into Asia. She has also developed a strong practice in the appointment of boards to SOEs and other public and private sector organisations. She is a member of Chief Executive Women and the Executive Search working group of the 30% Club in Australia.

Fiona’s professional background is in investment banking, having spent several years in both corporate banking and international treasury with Australian, Japanese and British banks. She is a graduate of Monash University in Human Resource Management & Industrial Relations.

Fiona is actively involved in community projects. She is a Director of the Rotary Club of Sydney Cove and a past member of the Australian Red Cross Fundraising Committee. She is a frequent volunteer on the Vinnies Night Patrol food truck and provides breakfast to the homeless through the Early Bird Café in Sydney CBD.
