In a recent article titled, “PayPal CFO John Rainey Leaving To Join Walmart As CFO,” the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) talked to Stanton Chase Global Practice Leader CFO and Vice Chair Cathy Logue about the versatility of chief financial executives and their trend of making significant industry changes. In a highly competitive market with so many industries that have seen disruption over the past few years, companies are looking to leverage expertise from other sectors. “The lines have been blurred between industries, which means it makes it a little bit easier to change,” WSJ quoted Logue as saying.
