Manhattan-based Covenant Executive Search Partners joins firm
Stanton Chase, a global retained executive search firm, has re-established its presence in New York City, joining forces with one of the area’s premier boutique firms.
Effective February 1, Covenant Executive Search Partners joined the Stanton Chase global family of offices. Stanton Chase has 73 offices in 46 countries, and the New York office will bolster the firm’s effectiveness in a critical market. The New York office is located at 555 Madison Avenue, Suite 505 and is led by veteran search consultant and Managing Director Mary Matthews.
The announcement was made by Daniel Casteel, Regional Vice President of Stanton Chase.
“Mary and her team of search professionals are the perfect addition to Stanton Chase,” said Casteel. “She combines a strong local knowledge of the New York market with focused international experience that will assist our other global offices in recruiting top executives for positions throughout the world.”
Matthews brings broad experience to the search process, with specific expertise in FinTech, education and healthcare publishing and consumer media, as well as many years’ experience earlier in her career in Industrial Manufacturing. Her firm has recruited world-class leadership teams and board members for multi-national, Fortune 500 and middle market companies, as well as private capital firms. Her assignments have brought significant growth to a prestigious list of clients. These placements have included board members, CEOs, COOs, CMOs, CDOs, divisional presidents, CFOs, and others.
“I’m thrilled to be the New York representative for Stanton Chase,” said Matthews. “In my short time with the organization, I’m particularly impressed with the professionalism and collaborative spirit among all of the offices throughout the world.
“This move will clearly benefit my growing list of clients who require a global reach for their executive talent needs. They will also benefit from the knowledge and experience of my new partners in a broad range of business sectors.”
The New York office is part of the Stanton Chase technology, industrial and consumer product practice groups.
In recent years, Matthews’ practice has developed a well-known specialty in digital content and information, having conducted searches for such companies as Disney Learning, Wolters Kluwer, The Scholastic Corporation, and University Games Corporation.
With more than 25 years in the search industry, Matthews has also conducted searches in the industrial manufacturing, life sciences and private equity sectors.
A Florida native, Matthews received her bachelor of science degree in business administration from Florida State University and studied for her master’s in organizational psychology at Columbia University, New York. Until recently, she was a Member of the Board, Trustees Committee, Lyme College of Fine Arts, and served as a parent volunteer for both Dartmouth College and Deerfield Academy. She has successfully completed more than 500 searches.
