El Kaouakibi honored at Global Partners Meeting

BRUSSELS — Sihame El Kaouakibi, founder of Let’s Go Urban, has been named the recipient of the Stanton Chase Global Diversity Award, recognizing her efforts and accomplishments in promoting diversity. Stanton Chase, a retained executive search firm with more than 76 offices in 43 countries, promotes diversity and inclusion in the workplace with this prestigious award. This year’s award presentation was made in April at the Stanton Chase Global Partners Meeting in Brussels, Belgium.

The Stanton Chase Global Diversity Award is given to a leader or company with outstanding results in fostering a culture of inclusion, ensuring diversity in the workforce, and attracting diverse talent. Sihame El Kaouakibi, a Moroccan-Belgian entrepreneur, has established a number of programs in Belgian communities that attract and develop talented youth. In addition to her most well-known project, Let’s Go Urban (LGU), which specializes in urban arts & street culture, El Kaouakibi also spearheads many other initiatives to promote talent development in youth, including WannaWork, WannaGrow, Urban Center Antwerp and Urban Center Brussels.

Tamara Severi and Tom Goorman, Partners in the Stanton Chase Brussels office, presented El Kaouakibi with the award. “Diversity and inclusion are key components of our work in executive search,” said Severi. “Both our local and global clients demand diversity in the search and selection process. El Kaouakibi epitomizes the values that our clients embrace, and we are pleased to present her with the Global Diversity Award.”

Goorman added, “Sihame said, ‘Start with potential’ – and her work does precisely that. Her work taps into the potential of a diverse pool of talented youth. She inspires and develops that talent. Ultimately, she’s making my job easier. Sihame’s work strengthens the importance and value of diversity in Belgium, Europe, and the entire global community.”

“I am honored to receive this award, “said El Kaouakibi. “Diversity is a gamechanger, and I am glad to see Stanton Chase reaffirming the value of diversity through this award.”

Sihame El Kaouakibi will also showcase her entrepreneurial ambitions in the Stanton Chase Women and Leadership video series, which will be available soon at https://www.stantonchase.com/category/videos/
