New leadership appointments have been made in the following three practices: CFO & Financial Executives, Directors & Chief Executive Officers, and Consumer Products & Services.

The announcement was made by Tom Goorman, Vice Chairman of Practice Groups and Managing Partner of the Brussels office of Stanton Chase.

Stanton Chase offers its services through focused industry practice groups to better meet the needs of clients in highly specialized and complex industries. Each practice group features an international team of consultants with a depth of operational and search experience. These groups aid in leveraging specialized talent and knowledge within the firm; they also strengthen the connected team of consultants worldwide.

The following new leaders have been appointed:

Cathy Logue, Managing Director of the Toronto office, will lead the CFO & Financial Executives Practice Group;
Panos Manolopoulos, Managing Partner in the Dubai office, will lead the Directors & Chief Executive Officers Practice Group;
Tom Christensen, Managing Partner in the Oslo office, will lead the Consumer Products & Services Industry Practice Group.

Cathy Logue is the new Global Practice Leader (GPL) of the CFO & Financial Executives Practice. Cathy has over 25 years of financial and executive search experience. She has worked across all industries and brings a particular wealth of experience within the Financial Services, Technology, and Consumer Products & Services sectors. She founded the Toronto office of Stanton Chase, and she succeeds Paul Herrerias, who has been the GPL since the end of 2012. “Paul was one of our first functional GPLs,” said Tom Goorman. “He has always shown great leadership in taking initiatives. We are excited about the transition to Cathy, who brings a wealth of financial and leadership experience to her new position.”

Stanton Chase search consultants in this practice come from CFO and financial backgrounds; many have been leaders in the Financial and Accounting industry. They work together to provide penetrating assessments of the unique skills, acumen, and insights that successful Financial Executives must possess.

Panos Manolopoulos has assumed his new role as GPL of Directors & Chief Executive Officers. This functional practice group offers services within all industries. Whether it is a startup company seeking a new CEO, a mid-market firm looking to expand its Board, or a Fortune 500 company working on their succession plan, Stanton Chase works with clients to identify Directors and CEOs for the perfect cultural fit.

Panos is taking over from Ted Muendel. “Ted was one of the founders of our organization,” said Mickey Matthews, International Chairman of Stanton Chase. “I wish to thank him for launching this important functional Practice Group, and I am thrilled that Panos has accepted this appointment. His breadth and depth of leadership will bring great value to the team.” Panos is the Managing Partner of the Dubai office and one of the main shareholders in other major Stanton Chase offices. He has been a member of the Firm since 2003 and he has served as Regional and Global Practice Leader of Consumer Products & Services, and recently as Vice Chairman of Business Excellence.

Tom Christensen has worked in the executive search industry for over 15 years, and he established the Stanton Chase office in Norway in 2007. He will take over Consumer Products & Services, the firm’s second largest practice group. The practice group is structured into five distinct sectors: Consumer Products, Travel, Hospitality & Leisure, Consumer Retail, Luxury Products, and Publishing, Advertising & Media.

Tom will take over from Nick Wylde, who will remain in the practice group after the handover. “I am very excited to turn the reigns over to Tom,” said Nick. “He brings strong leadership experience and a passion for the industry that is vital to this position.”

The newly appointed GPLs assumed their duties on January 1, 2017.
