Juan D. Morales has been named Global Practice Leader for the Supply Chain, Logistics and Transportation Practice Group of Stanton Chase, a global retained executive search firm with 76 offices in 43 countries.

The announcement was made by Mickey Matthews, Global Chairman of Stanton Chase.

Morales, a veteran search consultant and a former executive with major worldwide logistics & transportation firms, is the Managing Director of the Miami office. He succeeds Simpson Nondo, Managing Director of the Johannesburg office, who served as the Logistics & Transportation Global Practice Leader for two years.

“It is a distinct pleasure to name Juan to this important position at Stanton Chase,” said Matthews. “He combines significant search experience with unparalleled knowledge of this important global business sector. Juan has gained the respect of his Stanton Chase colleagues and is respected in the logistics & transportation industries.”

Morales joined the Miami office of Stanton Chase in 2003 and has built a successful search practice using his local and global network of contacts to identify, assess, and recruit senior executives. Prior to assuming his new role, he was the Logistics & Transportation leader for both the North and Latin American regions.

“I look forward to continuing the excellent work done by Simpson,” said Morales. “He set a standard of leadership in the executive search process for this important practice group. We will continue to work together to make this one of the strongest practice groups in the executive search industry.”

Prior to joining Stanton Chase, Morales served as Head of Human Resources for the International Americas Region at DHL Worldwide Express, encompassing 42 countries throughout the Western Hemisphere. In addition, he played a key role in the Global HR Steering Group for DHL International. Earlier career appointments included positions in operations and human resources with United Parcel Service of America. He opened new territories in Latin America and held executive roles in both domestic and international business units.

Morales also served as Senior Vice President of cargo operations for Amerijet International, the leading cargo airline operating in the Caribbean and Latin America.

He is fluent in English and Spanish and bi-cultural. After earning his degree at Michigan Technological University, Morales earned an SPHR designation and is an alumni of the prestigious Yale Leadership and Analysis Program and Chief Executive Leadership Institute of the Yale School of Management.

He is active in philanthropic, civic, and community organizations and has served as co-chair for the Jeb Bush Florida Classic, the single largest fundraising event in Florida in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Additionally, he has served on the Advisory Council to the Miami District Office of the United States Equal Opportunity Commission.
