Julie Davidson

Julie Davidson has been a consultant to many of retained search’s premier partners and firms since 2000.

Julie and Greg Selker, North American Sector Leader, Software, at Stanton Chase, began working together in 2000 when Julie founded Employee Capital and Greg was at Christian & Timbers (CT Partners). They continued their partnership at Selker Leadership where Julie brought Employee Capital’s pioneering data-driven insights and research-based solutions in retained search into Selker’s overall search methodology, dramatically improving the speed and quality of candidates presented for the highest level assignments. Julie then joined Torch Group, where she was instrumental in helping to build out Torch’s Software and Technology Practice.

Before Employee Capital, Julie founded The Davidson Company, a registered investment advisory for high net-worth individuals. She began her career at Smith Barney, Harris Upham as an institutional broker, and then spent time at a Bay Area venture firm where she was responsible for raising capital.

Julie graduated from Georgia Tech. She has a passion for data, and volunteers at her local community college where she guest lectures on how to apply statistics to real-world situations in the hopes of helping her students make better decisions in business and in life.
