William (Bill) Brewer consults with organizations to build a team of the best leaders that will optimize their business goals. He is a C-suite executive who works closely with senior leaders in attracting and retaining highly talented people. He has spent several years in executive search, as well as having 25+ years of corporate human resources experience. Bill has held the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) role with three companies. As a senior executive leader, he has had the internal responsibility of ensuring the right team supports critical functional areas including executive management, human resources, diversity, equity and inclusion, finance, marketing, operations, information technology / systems, sales, supply chain, and legal / compliance. Both Bill’s corporate career and his executive search career have been focused on working with top talent.

Bill is the leader of the Stanton Chase North America Human Resources Practice Group, consulting with boards and CEOs on assessing and acquiring best-in-class human resources officers (Chief Human Resources Officer / Chief People Officer). Additionally, he leads senior-level human resources searches and talent management leadership roles. Bill is also a member of the Stanton Chase Diversity and Inclusion Practice Group and Board Services Practice Group.

Bill is part of the Financial Services Practice Group. He has a focus on banking and the credit union space in the Western United States.

Additionally, Bill is a member of the Industrial Practice Group, which supports engagements tied to aerospace and defense, agribusiness, automotive, chemicals, engineering, construction, and building materials, industrial equipment and components, and pulp, paper, and packaging.

Prior to moving into executive search, Bill had 25 years of experience in corporate human resources. He served in the top human resources role at InSight Health Corp (a private equity company), Epicor Software (a public company), and Alorica (private ownership). These businesses ranged from 3,000 to 20,000 employees. Bill’s earlier background includes The Walt Disney Company and Fluor Corporation. His industry experience includes engineering and construction, media and entertainment, healthcare, technology / software, business process outsourcing (BPO), and manufacturing. He has held global responsibilities including expatriate assignment experience.

In addition to his executive search career, Bill is an adjunct Professor with the University of Redlands. He volunteers his time as a leader of the Career Counseling Ministry at Saddleback Church. He is a board member of the Orange County Compensation and Benefits Association (OCCABA). Bill also serves as a mentor for the MBA program at the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and has been a mentor with the School of Business at the University of Redlands.

Bill earned his MBA degree from the University of Redlands and his bachelor of arts degree in psychology from California State University, Long Beach. He is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) from WorldatWork, which focuses on global human resources issues including compensation, benefits, work-life, and integrated total rewards.
