Lars Ollesch

Lars is a Partner with Stanton Chase Düsseldorf. He focuses on executive search recruitment for the energy industry, utilities, the public sector and their service providers. He is further specialized in supporting companies in the sectors of plant engineering, grids, station construction, and the energy intensive industries.

Lars began his executive search career and was a Partner and Principal at LAB & Company in Düsseldorf for 6 years. He also boasts many years of profound experience at Ruhrgas AG and E.ON Ruhrgas AG, where he held various executive positions and management roles and has worked extensively with public utilities. Lars has considerable expertise as a Vice President and Head of Sales for gas, electricity, and consulting services for 14 years, as well as Head of the Procurement Planning division and Head of large plant procurement and engineering for 9 years.

In the last 14 years Lars has gained extensive experience in executive consulting, and organizational and leadership development. He has completed assignments for clients within all business areas. Previously, as Vice President, he was also jointly responsible for management audits and psychological assessment as well as for selection, recruitment, training, coaching, and development of the next generation of leaders.

At the local government level, he is able to put his wealth of experience to good use in cooperation with politically staffed and heterogeneous supervisory bodies. Impartial, solution-oriented presentation, and professional implementation of search mandates with a high level of dedication are important to him when it comes to his client base.

Lars has a deep understanding of the needs and requirements of clients and current market developments. In times of rapidly changing leadership roles, agility, digitalization and AI, coaching and motivation, as well as high flexibility in thinking and acting, he offers strategic search solutions tailored to his clients. Lars studied physics and is a graduated engineer. He also holds a degree as procurement business economist; he is a native German speaker and speaks fluent English. Outside his professional life, Lars has a family of six. His interests include politics, architecture, modern art and literature, and he enjoys music and playing sports.
