Edward J. Savage, III

Edward J. Savage is a Co-Founder of Stanton Chase and Chair Emeritus of its predecessor firm. He currently serves as a Managing Director for the Stanton Chase Los Angeles office. Ed has been a member of the Life Sciences & Healthcare Practice team with over 35 professionals for more than 10 years and has completed myriad “C” level searches for clients in the biotechnology, medical device, biotherapeutics, and healthcare markets for clients that have ranged from pre-revenue venture-backed startups to large multinationals.

Ed has served as a Global Practice Leader for Stanton Chase and has also been active in the firm’s Corporate Governance and Private Equity Practice Groups as well as Industrial, Technology, and Consumer Products & Services.

Prior to co-founding Stanton Chase, Ed served as Chief Operating Officer of Kors Marlar Savage & Associates, a mid-sized international leadership capital consulting firm focused on energy, technology, and consumer products.

His previous experience included 10 years with Korn Ferry International, where he served as Managing Partner of the firm’s headquarters in Los Angeles for five years and founded two specialty practice groups. He also served on the firm’s executive committee. Earlier in his career, Ed was a management consultant with Arthur D. Little in San Francisco, as well as a member of the professional staff and Director of Finance & Administration for the Computer Sciences Division of the RAND Corporation.

Ed holds a master’s degree in management from the University of California, Berkeley. He is also a graduate of Stanford Business School’s Executive Program and received his BA cum laude from Louisiana State University.

Ed has sat on 12 boards of private companies as well as served as a trustee of a major university and several nonprofits. He has been active with NACD, several venture-capital firms, and Angel funds. His passion is building organizations with leaders who care. He has been committed to the Young Presidents’ Organization and its graduate groups CEO and YPO Gold, where he has served as Chapter Chair, Area Vice President, and International Board & Executive Committee Member. He also has been a member of the Business Council of the United Nations and Who’s Who in American Business.
