Prior to his current role, Brian had a business career of over 23 years at Intel, Hewlett-Packard, Hynix (formerly Hyundai Electronics), and a leading O2O startup. Brian conducted numerous high-level business management assignments including Country Sales Director at Intel, where he served B2B industry sector clients including information technology, telecommunications, portal/media, industrial/semiconductor, retail, automotive, heavy industry, banking, and insurance companies.
He got hands-on project experience for projects including big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence/machine learning, augmented reality/virtual reality, 5G, Internet of Things, autonomous driving, and Online-to-Offline service.
Brian holds three master’s degrees including an MFA degree (interaction design) from Hongik University, an MBA degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MS degree in industrial engineering from Dongguk University. He won the best (interaction design) research paper award from Hongik University, where he researched in-house usage patterns of voice-assistant smart speakers (2019). Brian was a member of the educational subcommittee of the Korean Institute of Industrial Engineers (KIIE). He was also an invited member of the planning committee of Smart & Cloud Show 2011, Korea’s largest smart work and cloud technology conference and exhibition event, where he led the planning and execution activities of Media Art for the Smart & Cloud theme zone.
