Emily Plahanski

Emily Plahanski is Stanton Chase’s E-Commerce and DTC Global Sector Leader. She works with leading technology, private equity, and consumer products firms. Emily brings more than a decade of professional search consulting and leadership experience to Stanton Chase, along with an extensive background that includes working within the areas of employee engagement, leadership, and culture, as well as diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Emily is passionate about disrupting the traditional ways of attracting and retaining top talent and brings that passion and experience to helping leaders think and act differently about finding and hiring the right executives to help elevate their teams.

Prior to joining Stanton Chase, Emily was a Managing Director at SHIFT Recruiting, Director of Strategic Partnerships at SIG, an Alera Group Company, a leading national employee benefits firm. She has also worked for some of the most awarded and well-respected search firms in the United States, Roth Staffing Companies and Robert Half International. Emily’s experience has strengthened her work in developing broad generalist knowledge of various industries and enables her to provide strong, trusted advisory services to her valued clients. Her broad spectrum understanding of organizational and leadership development, as well as being a strong leader in the firm’s acquisition of new business, is an asset to Stanton Chase.

Emily holds a B.S. in business management and marketing from St. John Fisher University’s Bittner School of Business, which is an accredited member of AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. She serves on the board of a nonprofit organization, TEARS Foundation of Maryland. In her immediate past, Emily has been awarded Howard County’s Finest 39 Under 39. Currently, she is an active member of the Executive Alliance, which promotes advocacy for women on public and private company boards. As an expert in today’s talent and leadership space, Emily holds two advanced certificates from Cornell University, one in executive talent and another in leadership and culture. Emily is also certified as a Hogan Assessment Consultant for executive leadership assessments.
