Andrew Sherwood

In addition to being Managing Director of the Stanton Chase New York ROC, Andrew was a founding partner of Goodrich & Sherwood, in 1970. As a certified Management Consultant (CMC), Andy's 30-year senior level executive search and consulting background covers a wide range, spanning most industries.

He headed the Business Task Force for the Reagan and Bush White House and has served as a Congressional Advisor. Listed in Who's Who in Finance and Industry, and Who's Who in the World, Andy's professional affiliations include the Young Presidents' Organization, where he was chapter chairman, the World Presidents' Organization, and the Chief Executive Organization.

In 1990, and each year since, Andy has been elected to the top 100 Executive Search Consultants in the United States. He is an honors graduate from Nichols College where he has served as a Trustee and head of the Executive Committee. He majored in management at Farleigh Dickinson University Graduate School of Business and the Harvard Business School CEO program. Andy is a member of the Explorers Club and has served on the board of Safari Clubs International and a number of other company and not for profit boards.

Chuck has provided consulting services for over 30 years to key business leaders in the identification, evaluation, selection and placement of executives into their organizations.

Chuck is an alumnus of the University of California, Berkeley and the Managing Organization Effectiveness program at the Harvard Business School. He has served on and led several community and not-for-profit boards. In his corporate life, Chuck was most recently the Senior Human Resources Officer of Richardson Vicks USA, a Procter & Gamble company. Earlier assignments at Vicks included Vice President, Human Resources of Vicks Health Care and Beauty Care, and Vice President, Human Resources of International where he was responsible for Latin America, the Asia-Pacific Rim and Canada. He brought this expertise into executive search 10 years ago, and thoroughly enjoys leading search engagements across several industries. His assignments have included a breadth of senior management positions.

Ted Borman

A full-time executive recruiter since 1977, Ted recruits executives for companies that use science and technology to solve their business problems. His candidates are now the Presidents of several dozen biotech and medical device companies; three placements have been presidents of major drug company Research & Development programs.

Ted founded T. H. Borman Associates, Inc. in 1999 after ten years at LAI Worldwide, where he was a Senior Partner, Practice Sector Head, and a Member of the Board of Directors of Lamalie, the U.S. member of Amrop, then the fifth largest global search organization as measured by revenue. Ted was responsible for pharmaceutical assignments conducted in the U.S. and oversaw assignments around the globe in such countries as Japan, France, England, Germany and Italy.

He was also Partner and Director of Canny, Bowen, and began his recruiting career with Daniel Silverstein Associates, where he developed many of the core clients he serves to this day. He began his professional career at the Irving Trust Company where he became the youngest officer of the bank and served as Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Training Director. Later, as Vice President, Personal Banking, he had a P&L responsibility, managed the retail banking staff and oversaw an asset portfolio of more than $300 million.

Ted graduated from Carlton College, Northfield, Minnesota, with a B.A. in history, and served in the United States Marine Corps. He has served on the Boards of the Genomics Institute, the Lighthouse for the Blind, and the American Institute of Banking. His primary focus at Stanton Chase New York are the Life Sciences & Healthcare, and Consumer Goods and Services practices.

Marjorie Slater

Marjorie joins Stanton Chase with 23 years of experience as an executive search consultant. Prior to entering the consulting business, Marjorie began her career with General Motors where she was the first woman chosen to enter the management training program with the Pontiac Motor Division in Flint, Michigan. While at GM, Marjorie gained knowledge of distribution, transportation, and customer service for the automotive industry, which prepared her well for her search career. From GM, Marjorie joined a search firm that specialized in distribution and transportation. She then founded her own retained search organization, Logistics Management Resources, Inc. in 1987.

Having success with numerous Fortune 500 companies in the industrial, consumer, and health care industries, Marjorie has benefited from significant repeat business in this fast paced environment; her enthusiasm is second only to the credibility built over the years. She has managed projects and identified talent throughout the operations and IT areas with focus on the supply chain management and recently in finance, sales, and marketing. Marjorie's understanding of the client's culture and the critical nature of each new hire makes her a valuable source of knowledge to her clients and candidates; her network is quite extensive.

Marjorie has a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from St. Thomas Aquinas College and resides in Rockland County with her family. She is involved in industry affiliations as a member of the Counsel of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and the Warehousing Education Research Counsel (WERC).

Leonard J. Doherty

Len has been a retainer-based executive recruiter and staffing consultant since 1983. Prior to joining Stanton Chase in 2008, he spent 17 years operating his own boutique search firm in the Boston area. Previously, he was a Vice President with two small executive search firms where he focused primarily on technology-related assignments. Len has successfully managed engagements across all functional disciplines. Clients encompass a broad spectrum of the technology and financial services sectors ranging from venture-funded startups to Fortune 50 companies. Representative industry segments in which he has worked include software, semiconductors, data/telecommunications, internet applications, information technology and asset management.

Prior to entering the search field, Len managed staffing activities for a major division of Honeywell Information Systems. While at Honeywell, he designed basic and advanced interview skills workshops, which he has subsequently conducted for various groups including venture capital firms and non-profit organizations. He also co-directed two innovative outplacement centers involving hundreds of displaced employees.


Len’s earlier career includes manufacturing management and human resources positions with Honeywell and two small technology-related companies.

Len obtained his BS (magna cum laude) and MBA degrees from Boston College. His outside interests include golf, reading and the Boston Red Sox. He resides with his family in Fairfield County, CT.
