John DavidsonManaging Director John is a Managing Director in the Chicago office and leads the transportation practice, specializing in the aviation and aerospace sectors. John conducts senior level executive search assignments for leading companies in the aviation sector, including airlines, general and business aviation, cargo, MRO, and aviation vendors. His global practice comprises cross functional appointments consisting of C-level and senior finance, sales and marketing and operational leadership roles. John also supports clients in the private equity, financial services, technology, hospitality, and industrial sectors. Prior to joining Stanton Chase, John founded Lake Forest Executive Search in 1999 and served as a Consultant with LAI Worldwide, which was later acquired by TMP. Ed has deep Insurance and Financial and Professional Services industry knowledge garnered from more than 20 years of leadership experience within the sectors. He is familiar with the products and markets, latest trends, key initiatives and industry leaders. Ed has successfully executed search assignments for ‘C’ suite executives and senior and mid-level management roles in Actuarial / Product Management, Asset Management, Claims, Finance, Marketing, Portfolio Management, Sales, Underwriting and Zone / Regional / Branch management. Additionally, he has fulfilled leadership searches within various sectors for Human Resources, Investments, Legal, Operations, and Real Estate and Technology. His reputation as a consultant is one where on behalf of his clients he is successful in the identification, recruitment and placement of leaders that deliver results. Prior to joining Stanton Chase, Ed served as Executive Vice President and Global Insurance Practice Co-Leader for another international search firm. He also spent more than 20 years with the Allstate Insurance Company where he held key leadership roles in Product Management, Actuarial / Pricing, Human Resources, Sales, Finance, Claims and Risk Management. Ed is involved in numerous industry associations at the local, regional and national levels. He lectures and participates in organizations such as the Casualty Actuarial Society, Society of Actuaries, Risk and Insurance Management Society, Society of Human Resources Management, American Compensation Association/World-at-Work, and more. He has spoken at various universities including The University of Michigan, The University of Illinois, Howard University and The University of Texas. A specialist in the field of diversity recruiting for today’s marketplace, Ed has received recognition for his extensive civic involvement, including previous service on the Board of Directors for the YMCA (Board Chairman, Buehler), Houston Area Urban League, SER Hispanics for Progress and the United Way. Christine Rae DeYoung Director Christine specializes in senior-level executive search assignments for consumer product and service clients, as well as in placing senior marketing executives for clients seeking a strategic focus on their customers and consumers; i.e. financial services, healthcare, technology, retail, professional services and industrial. Christine develops and maintains the strong relationships and experience to serve as a trusted advisor to many of the market’s leading consumer professionals. She is committed to helping her client’s identify and attract the executive team necessary to lead successful growth and profitable brand transformation. Prior to executive search, Christine spent 20 years leading or advising businesses in her classical brand marketing and strategy consulting roles. After first working in engineering for a division of Tenneco Oil, she began her marketing career at Procter and Gamble where she held multiple brand management leadership roles in both North American and Latin America. She then held senior marketing positions for private-equity backed Specialty Foods, Inc. After a successful sale of the company, Christine was co-founder and partner of two boutique advisory firms specializing in brand/product development and growth strategy for a broad range of multi-national clients, primarily in the consumer products, retail, and technology and biotech industries. Christine serves on the advisory board for Chicago’s Clean Energy Trust, founded as a nonprofit corporation by a dynamic group of business and civic leaders, and was created to help transform the best clean energy ideas from concept to the marketplace. She sits on the advisory board for a privately held skating business; Rainbo sports; and is an active leader for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Art Davidson Director After 23 years in Human Resources with General Motors, Tenneco, White Motor and Midland Russ, Art began his executive search career with Spencer Stuart in 1986. Art serves clients in the Manufacturing, Transportation and Consumer Services sectors. He has extensive experience conducting searches in senior general and senior functional management, as well as, board of director assignments. Typical assignments include Corporate and Divisional President, CFO, CIO, Vice Presidents of Sales, Marketing, and Human Resources. In recent years, his assignments have included a significant international component. Prior to joining Stanton Chase, Art spent time with Lamalie Associates and founded and managed his own search firm. Art earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University. He is a member of the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruitment (IACPR) and has served on the board of the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC).
