Paul has over twenty-five years of executive search and leadership consulting service in the Bay Area. He has conducted hundreds of search assignments in the financial services, consumer products, software/telecom/technology, professional services, biotech and wine industries. Prior to becoming director of Stanton Chase San Francisco in 2006, Paul co-founded three search firms. Previous professional career affiliations also include KPMG Peat Marwick’s Executive Search team and Deloitte & Touche, where he obtained his CPA license.

Paul serves on the Financial Services and the Consumer Practice Groups for Stanton Chase. He has earned a Master's degree in Human Resources and Organization Development (MHROD) and a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, both from the University of San Francisco.

H. Edward (Ted) Muendel

Ted has over twenty years of consulting experience to senior management and their Boards on organizational planning, executive recruiting/selection, and the value of leadership capitalization. After graduating from Lehigh University, he spent 8 years in management with Allegheny Ludlum Industries at various US manufacturing locations, before joining the prominent general management-consulting firm, Theodore Barry & Associates, Los Angeles. After 4 years of diverse corporate client experience, he accepted an appointment to the Secretary of Transportation in Washington D.C. Ted then went on to establish an executive search firm which has become Stanton Chase International.

He holds a Master of Science degree, with honors, from Northern Illinois University. In 1993, he was elected International President of the Alumni Association for Lehigh University, and is an appointed Trustee of the University. Ted has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and other national newspapers. Currently, he sits on several Boards, including the Dingman Entrepreneurial Center of the Business School, University of Maryland, the National Aquarium, and several private corporations.

Peter Deragon

Pete has been focused on Investment Industry and Financial Services search for the past 14 years under Deragon Executive Search, LLC. Pete merged his company with Stanton Chase International in January 2008 and plans to continue building the North America Financial Services practice with more resources and productive partnerships throughout the country. Pete has made placements in Portfolio Management, Financial Advisory, Private Banking and Sales Management searches with banks, trust companies, asset management firms and national brokerage firms.

Pete is a graduate of University of California Santa Barbara, with a degree in Political Science. He spent 13 years in San Francisco as a fully licensed institutional salesman at PaineWebber Capital Markets and Wells Fargo’s Trading and Investments Group

Jim has twenty-five years of experience providing recruiting and consulting services for financial industry clients throughout North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East. As an expert in the evolution of new products and technologies for capital markets, he is often a featured speaker at events sponsored by such diverse organizations as the NYSE, LIFFE, CME, the National Society of Quantitative Analysts, and the Graduate School of Business, Insead, France.

Jim earned a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the United States Air Force Academy (USAF), a Master’s degree from Georgetown University, as well as an M.B.A degree from The George Washington University. The founder of Stanton Chase Chicago, Jim is now affiliated with the San Francisco office, where he serves on the Financial Services Practice Group.

Ward Flock

Ward has over 25 years experience as a sales and business development executive with executive search, internet and media companies. He leads the internet and digital media practice for Stanton Chase San Francisco. Well-versed in advertising sales on most all media platforms including online, print, search engine marketing and interactive TV, Ward played a strategic role at leading companies such as Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Netscape, Flycast/CMGI and 24/7 Real Media.

In addition to managing their relationship with AOL, Ward pioneered the Netscape search page prior to Netcenter. He was also instrumental in building teams and reorganizing the sales department at Engage Media/CMGI. At Forbes, he brought the publication into the computer industry by launching Forbes ASAP. Ward also set all-time sales records at The Wall Street Journal with over $9MM in revenue in one year, more than doubling returns.

In 2004, Ward received certification as an Executive Coach from The Hudson Institute. He has coached executives and consulted with leading Internet and media properties. Ward lives in San Mateo, California with his wife and three children.

Laura Ferracane

Laura joined Stanton Chase in 2006 as a Senior Associate, specializing in the research and placement of senior-level Human Resources, Finance and Operations executives.

Prior to her affiliation with H&A, Laura had her own Human Resources consulting practice where she provided HR expertise to such companies as Ask Jeeves, Pillsbury Winthrop, APL and Yoga Journal. Laura was the previous HR Director for Deloitte & Touche in San Francisco, an international public accounting and consulting firm cited by Fortune Magazine as one of the "100 Best Companies to work for" due to their HR practices. Laura holds a B.S. degree in Human Resources Management from DePaul University in Chicago.
