Ed Moerbe

Ed became one of the founders of Stanton Chase International
when he established Stanton Chase Dallas in 1987. He
has successfully completed numerous CEO and next level
assignments, specializing in Industrial and Professional
Service clients.
His previous leadership experience
includes being CEO of a publicly-held medical
service company in Dallas, accomplishing a major
turnaround as Vice President of Sales and Marketing
for MG Industries, as well as sales and management
positions with Air Products.
Ed earned a B.S.
degree in Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University
along with an MBA degree from the University of Santa
Clara. He serves
on the Board of Regents for Concordia University
at Austin and the Board of Directors for the
Dallas Rotary Foundation. His prior board positions
have included the Dallas Rotary Club, Prince of Peach
Christian School, and Stanton Chase International.

Steve B. Watson
International Chairman and Managing Director

Steve had a successful management career in the technology
industry before joining executive search in 1995. His
business experience included being Chairman and CEO
of a security products company, serving as Regional
Director for Tandem Computers, and holding senior management
positions at Burroughs Corporation. This extensive business
management experience including serving on the Board
of Micronyx, Inc., along with his successful search
career, allows him to bring a unique perspective and
added value to his clients. He focuses on serving domestic
and international clients in all technology sectors
and recruits for Board members and executive positions,
as well as Chief Information Officers across industries.
Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree in
electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin,
and his MBA from Southern Methodist University (SMU).
He is active in the community and has served on numerous
Boards for civic organizations. He is also active
in several industry organizations including the Tech
Titan Awards.

Carole Campbell

industry and in Latin America. Her early career focused
on nursing clinical and administrative roles. She

Rick Davis

Rick has over 25 years of senior level executive search
experience within the oil and gas industry and related
financial services sectors. Prior to joining Stanton Chase
in 2002, Rick operated his own search practice (Alliance
Energy Services) for over seven years, assisting both U.S.
and multi-national oil and gas clients with their management
needs throughout North and South America, West Africa,
Indonesia and the Middle East.
Prior to establishing Alliance Energy, Rick spent 15 years
with the executive search division of KPMG Peat Marwick,
later known as Foster Partners. During his tenure with the
firm, he served as the Managing Director for the Southwest
Region with responsibility for up to six consultants in the
KPMG Dallas and Houston offices providing recruiting services
across a broad range of industries including energy, banking
and financial services, hospitality, real estate and insurance.
Rick graduated from Austin College with a B.A. degree in
Business Administration and has worked with many civic and
academic institutions including the Greater Dallas Planning
Council, the University of Texas at Dallas Citizens Council
and the University of North Texas Accounting Department.
He is also a past board member of the Austin College National
Alumni Association and past President of the school's "A" Association.

Nancy Keene

For more than 20 years, Nancy has provided business
advisory services to venture capital-backed start-ups,
Fortune 500 companies and professional service firms.
She handles search assignments in the technology, industrial
and service sectors.
Nancy began her executive search career at a Dallas
specialty firm. Previously, she was a regional director
at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Earlier in her career, she
built one of the first successful technology marketing
resources in the Southwest and has been involved in
the launching of emerging technologies and distribution
channels.
Nancy is a frequent speaker and widely quoted news
source. She chairs the education committee of the
Texas Women Ventures Fund and serves on the advisory
board of Women's Leadership Exchange.
She earned a B.S. degree at Indiana University of
Pennsylvania.

Jerry McFarland

Jerry has had an extensive management career in both
the chemicals and oil and gas industries. Prior to his
executive search career, Jerry was President and CEO
of an oilfield service company he started in 1978 and
sold to Halliburton Company in 1990. Before starting
the oilfield service company, he spent six years as
Vice President of another service company, and before
that was Director of Sales and Marketing for a large
national chemical company. Jerry’s broad management
experience, including starting and building a company,
allows him to bring a unique perspective to his search
practice. Jerry holds a B.S. degree from Texas A&M
University and has served on the Board of Directors
of a number of organizations and has been an active
member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, chairing
several technical committees.

Fred Reed

Fred Reed has enjoyed five plus years of executive search
experience. His prior industry experience includes executive
level positions in the hospitality industry with Hyatt,
Clarion, and Holiday Inn and most recently with Renaissance
by Marriott.
Fred initially focused on serving clients in the
hospitality industry, both domestically and internationally.
His overall experience is that of a generalist, and
includes serving industry sectors such as: manufacturing,
mining and health care, in addition to hotel, airline
catering and other hospitality-type companies. Of
particular interest is Fred’s successful and
extensive experience in the wholesale pharmaceutical
distribution industry.
Fred performed his undergraduate work at Northern
Michigan University with a major in Business Administration
and a minor in Music.
He is past-President of Rotary, a Paul Harris Fellow
and a former Chamber of Commerce Vice President.

by 18 years experience in regional and national sales
management in the healthcare industry. His executive
searches have specialized in Diagnostics, Pharmaceuticals,
Biotechnology and Healthcare. Specific searches have
varied from regional and national sales and marketing
management, Vice President – Critical Care Nursing,
Director of Biotechnology to Director of Regulatory
Affairs. Roger’s management experience includes
roles with Johnson & Johnson, Abbott Diagnostics,
Smith Kline-Beckman, Systems Associates (HBOC) and M.S.A.

Gary Knee, a Director in the Dallas office, will specialize in the Manufacturing and Energy & Natural Resources market segments. Gary has an extensive 30+ year background in Human Resources with Enserch Corporation, Frito-Lay, Inc., Republic National Bank, Raytheon Company and Solar Contract Carpet, Inc. Prior to his executive search career, Gary had his own Human Resources consulting practice with clients including Hunt Petroleum Corporation, San Antonio Water System, Mueller, Inc., Kitty Hawk Air Cargo and National Energy Group.
Gary holds a B.B.A. degree from Southern Methodist University. He has been an active member of SHRM, Dallas HR, Dallas/Fort Worth HR Energy Group, Southwest Energy Group, Energy 27 Group and the Executive HR Roundtable of San Antonio.

Wayne Mitchell

Wayne Mitchell has been recognized by clients, candidates and colleagues as a trusted advisor, team player and dedicated professional. A leader in executive search since 1990, Wayne has a strong track record of working with established and early stage technology companies to build effective management teams. He serves domestic and international clients in the electronics, systems, communications and outsourcing services industries. Wayne is Director in the Dallas office, and serves as Technology Practice Leader - North America for Stanton Chase.
Wayne began his executive search career as Partner with Korn/Ferry International. He was later named Managing Director of the Electronics & Systems sector which became the most rapidly-growing business unit in the firm’s Advanced Technology Practice. After Korn/Ferry, Wayne founded the Dallas office of Christian & Timbers and then led the Systems & Semiconductor Practice for Highland Partners. He joined Stanton Chase from Heidrick & Struggles which had acquired Highland Partners in 2006.
Prior to his search career, Wayne built and managed a successful portfolio of start-up technology investments for Republic Venture Group. As a result, he fully understands the value proposition required to recruit talented executives to entrepreneurial companies. Previously, Wayne served as a Vice President at RepublicBank Dallas where he led projects to improve operations and customer services. He began his career as a project manager designing and implementing productivity systems at Texas Instruments.
Wayne earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Systems Engineering from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He has served on the Boards of several start-up companies, the North Texas Chapter of the March of Dimes, the Richardson Symphony, and on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of The Science Place in Fair Park. He and his family are also active in their church.

Bernie Patel

Bernie has over eleven years experience in management level recruiting, executive search and human resources consulting. Prior to joining Stanton Chase, he was a Senior Management Recruiter in Wal-Mart’s corporate headquarters, recruiting for the Finance, Ethics and Compliance areas. He was previously in management search for nine years, running his own practice and later joining Hudson Management Search. He spent his early career in the global energy business as a consultant to major exploration and steel companies. His work included assignments across the U.S. and expatriate work in Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
As a Director with Stanton Chase, his practice focuses on the Consumer Products and Services, Industrial and Technology industry sectors. His clients have included McKinsey & Company, BMC Software, top-tier public accounting firms, and Methodist Healthcare. Bernie has broad functional experience including: Finance, Marketing, H.R., Strategy and General Management.
Bernie earned a Bachelors degree with honors from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, in Political Science/International Relations and attended law school at the University of Utah and South Texas College of Law. He has held lay leadership positions in his church, and headed volunteer efforts for various non-profit organizations such as Covenant House (teen outreach) and SEARCH (homeless shelter).

Michael Taylor

Mike serves as a Director in the Dallas office and is a senior member of the Technology Practice Group. He is among the most active Directors in the country within Stanton Chase’s “Private Equity/Venture Capital” Practice, with a strong focus in Technology companies. His average “time to completion” is between 75 and 90 days. Mike's client list includes Austin Ventures, Technology Crossover Ventures, William Blair Capital, Q Investments, Hicks Muse, Centerpoint, Sevin Rosen, and Battery Ventures.
His search practice focuses on senior-level assignments in the eCommerce/Software/BPO sector, along with a second specialty in semiconductor/hardware/systems. Mike's functional specialties include the General Manager/President role, as well as CFO and CIO positions. His other emphasis concerns particularly the Vice President, Marketing role, as well as other functional Vice Presidents. Prior to Stanton Chase, Mike was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles for almost 6 years. His earlier corporate experience was in Healthcare at (McKesson) HBO & Company as a Regional Vice President of Sales and a Director of Client Services. Previous roles included IT experience at EDS and Engineering (oil and gas) experience at Schlumberger.
