Paolo PelliniPresident Paolo earned his PhD in Science after graduating summa cum laude from Bologna University. He also holds an MBA in Economics from Bocconi University, Milan. He began his career with Bayer in the agro and pharmaceuticals division before being appointed Marketing Manager for Hygiene and Household Division. Paolo then moved to Imperial Chemical Industries Plc as Marketing Manager for Agro-Chemicals and then became the Sales Manager for Chemicals and Polymers. Later on, he joined the Eliolona Group as Sales and Marketing Director for Personal Care Products. He was appointed General Manager for the Automotive Division at Castrol (Burmah Oil Plc), then General Manager at a tools manufacturing Group and later he became General Manager at a Company in the Consumer Credit sector. In 1988, Paolo formed J. Egerton and Partners in Milan, which is now fully integrated into Stanton Chase International. Gian Carlo BalbiSenior Board Member Gian Carlo earned his PhD in Economics from Milan University. He began his career as a Market Research Officer with Hoechst Italia (chemicals) before moving to Imperial Chemical Industries Plc as Product Manager for Agro-chemicals. He then worked for Merloni Elettrodomestici S.p.A. (domestic appliances) as Export Manager for some years, followed by a term as Regional Manager with Indesit Elettrodomestici S.p.A.. He was also active in the aluminium packaging industry (Tubettificio Europeo S.p.A.) as Export Manager until he was appointed Managing Director of a German steel manufacturer. Gian Carlo then joined Stanton Chase Milan and specializes in a variety of sectors. He manages executive search assignments at a group board and divisional director level in all management functions. Anna FortunatoAssociate Director Anna joined Stanton Chase Milan in 2006 as an Associate Director after spending nearly twenty years with multinational companies. After studying Languages, she began her career with Castrol (Burmah Oil Group), the world's leading specialist provider of lubrication solutions, as part of the automotive division's Sales and Marketing team. Anna then joined Italy's largest private Chemicals Group, Montedison and its subsidiaries, Montell Polyolefins (from the JV with Shell Chemicals) and Basell Polyolefins, which is still the global leader in polyolefins technology, production and marketing. At the end of her career with Basell Polyolefins, Anna was Head of Internal and External Communications for Italy and a member of Federchimica's Communication Committee Team. Her activity includes all key business functional areas. Since joining Stanton Chase, she has handled senior level and BoD searches for multinational and international companies operating in the sectors of infrastructure, industry, consumer products and services, and life sciences and healthcare. Alessandro Della VedovaBoard Member Alessandro joined Stanton Chase Milan after spending seven years with two other foremost executive search firms, where he successfully completed numerous search assignments and conducted several BoD level searches for both Italian and international companies. His focus has spanned all of the key business functional areas. Prior to entering the Executive Search field, Alessandro was initially the Organization and Development Manager for an Italian automotive company. In this role, he focused on the reengineering and optimization of the sales organization. Alessandro was then appointed Human Resources Manager with General Electric Medical Systems for Italy, Israel, Greece and Turkey, where he was also involved in the realization and implementation of several projects at a European level Alessandro holds a Degree in Law and a Master in Organization and Personnel from SDA Bocconi University. Paolo De SanctisDirector Paolo began his career in the marketing branch of Cigahotels, a luxury hotel chain, before holding positions with prominent Consumer Products companies including Johnson Wax, Ferrarelle and Chiari & Forti, where he gained a wealth of experience at increased levels of responsibility. In 1992, Paolo was appointed International Operation Director of Danone Group’s Pasta and Grocery Division in Paris. With the new economy developing, Paolo later continued his career as COO and Partner of Gospark, an e-business company, and as General Manager of Gabrius, a multimedia company. Prior to joining Stanton Chase, Paolo gained nine years of recruiting experience. He spent five years as a Partner with Eric Salmon, and most recently worked for Governance Consulting and Unosearch, a division of Pambianco Group. He focuses his activity on board and senior management positions, in Italy and internationally, within the Consumer Products and Services, Luxury and Fashion, Retail and Professional Services sectors. Paolo is a graduate in Philosophy and Political Science. He holds an INSEAD MBA in International Executive Management. Industry Practice Expertise:
