World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice.
It serves all people, regardless of their religion, ethnicity or gender. More than 31,000 staff worldwide are currently engaged in 98 countries. World Vision is in working relationship with the World Health Organization (WHO) and has consultative status with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
One of the ways of helping at World Vision is the sponsorship for a child. The child benefits from this contribution in many ways: It grows up in its accustomed environment, gets access to medical care, school education, nutritional support etc. In addition the money is used to support their families and a lot of times a whole region will benefit from the project programmes.
