KK KimManaging Director
KK Kim, Managing Director of the Korean office of Stanton Chase, is almost synonymous with executive search in Korea. With over 23 years of experience in executive search, he can draw on an unrivalled wealth of experience. His track record of over 1,600 successfully completed searches, with 200 of them at the CEO/Chairman/President level, speaks for itself, and has provided him with broad cross-industrial experience. Prior to the establishment of the Korean office of Stanton Chase, KK was President/Senior Consultant of Ward Howell International Korea, President of GE Information Services, and Executive VP of Leema, a local executive search company, Deputy Representative of General Dynamics, and General Manager of American Chamber of Commerce in Korea. His numerous activities, such as visiting professorships at Ehwa Womans University, aSSIST and other institutions, being a member of the Korea CEO Forum, Fellowship Chairman & Board member of Korea CEO’s Association of Multinational Corporations, and others, provide him with an extensive network of contacts. Tony KangManaging Director Tony is Managing Director of Stanton Chase Korea. He has worked for various leading multinational pharmaceutical, medical device, and optical companies such as Eli Lilly, Allergan and Carl Zeiss Vision for the last 23 years. Within this period he has developed experience in senior executive positions with broad business experience and impressive track record of success in the healthcare industry. He has served as country manager for big companies such as Allergan Korea, Biopol Korea, and Carl Zeiss Vision Korea. Tony holds an MBA degree from Helsinki School of Economics and Business. He earned his undergraduate degree from Veterinary Medical School at Chonbuk National University. With his medical & pharmaceutical background and long built healthcare knowledge for more than 23 years, he is able to meet clients’ expectations by placing the right people to the right place. Hans-Bernhard MerforthDirector Hans worked for Commerzbank and its affiliates for 31 years and has 20 years of Korea experience as well as experience of working in the finance industries in Frankfurt, London, Hong Kong, and Singapore in his extensive banking carrier. He was Deputy President of Korea Exchange Bank for 5 years and is well versed in the ins and outs of finance, investment banking, asset management, and risk management. He has a very nuanced understanding of financial markets and the different qualities, skills, and qualifications required in different segments of the industry. Moreover, his long and deep engagement in the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea gives him a unique insight into the European investor and business scene and into what it takes to make a multinational company successful in Korea.
