Stanton Chase International is pleased to announce a new International Chairman and Board of Directors for 2012. Selected by its global ownership partners, the new Board will continue the growth of the distinctive Stanton Chase approach to client-centred executive search into key markets around the world.
The new Board comprises three previous and two new members, and has representation from around the world. Continuity of service leadership will come from George Cross (London, England) who moves into the International Chairman role from his previous assignment as Vice Chairman Finance and Administration. Mickey Matthews (Baltimore, USA) takes on the role of Vice Chairman of Practice Groups, and Ward Garven (Calgary, Canada) continues as Vice Chairman of Business Excellence.
New perspectives will come from Fiona Lavan (Sydney, Australia) who comes in as Vice Chair of Regions, and Dieter Hagmann (Zurich, Switzerland) who takes over from Cross as Vice Chairman of Finance and Administration.
“The new Board will continue to emphasise service excellence and increasing market access for clients”, says Cross. Over the past two years, Stanton Chase has opened four new offices in as many countries (Singapore, Russia, Hungary and Belgium) and now operates in 45 countries around the world. “With proven, on-the-ground service capacity now in almost every global market, we have the ability to respond to increasing demands from clients around the world for effective international search services”, says Cross.
New International Chairman George Cross comes to this role with a lifetime of experience and knowledge in executive search, client service and leadership in a number of sectors. He has been with Stanton Chase International since it was founded in 1990 and is currently a Director of the London office, where he was previously Managing Director. As International Chairman, he will lead the global executive team.
Each of the other Board Members focuses on a key area of service to clients.
- Continuing as Vice Chairman Business Excellence is Ward Garven who is Managing Director of the Calgary office. Garven brings a client service focus based on decades of experience in executive counsel, leadership, marketing and the global expansion of operations. As Vice Chairman, Garven is responsible for service standards and quality, global marketing and corporate communications.
- Returning to the Board as Vice Chairman of Practice Groups is Mickey Matthews who is Managing Director in Baltimore. Matthews’ client service focus is on the industrial sector as well as manufacturing, technology and government. As Vice Chairman, Matthews will provide global leadership for Stanton Chase practice groups to maximize client service, information sharing and trend identification in those sectors.
- Joining the Board as Vice Chair Regions is Fiona Lavan who is a Director of the Sydney office. Lavan has a broad and diverse service focus in a wide range of industries and sectors. As Vice Chair, Lavan will lead strategic expansion planning to improve global client service coverage and stimulate the development of new client relationships in targeted areas.
- Joining the Board as Vice Chairman Finance and Administration is Dieter Hagmann who is Managing Partner of the Zurich office. Hagmann’s client service focus is on the industrial and technology sectors. As Vice Chairman, Hagmann will ensure seamless business relationships with clients through effective financial, corporate secretarial and administrative management.
