Board delivers both continuity and new ideas

Stanton Stanton Chase International is pleased to announce a new International Chairman and Board of Directors for 2013. Selected by its global ownership partners in Zurich in November, the new Board will continue to develop and manage the delivery of Stanton Chase executive search and leadership consulting services to markets around the world.
The new Board comprises three previous and two new members, and extends the practice of having representation from around the world. Continuity of leadership will come from George Cross (London, England) who continues as International Chairman. Fiona Lavan (Sydney, Australia) stays as Vice Chair of Regions, and Mickey Matthews (Baltimore, USA) remains as Vice Chairman of Practice Groups.
New perspectives will be introduced by Çağri Alkaya (Istanbul, Turkey) who takes over as Vice Chairman of Finance and Administration, and Panos Manolopoulos (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) who returns to the Board as Vice Chairman of Business Excellence after a one-year break.
“The new Board will focus on the strategic development of the Stanton Chase service offering in all global regions,” says Cross. Over the past two years, Stanton Chase has opened new offices in several new locations, including key areas like Boston, Seoul, Singapore, and Moscow, and now operates in 44 countries around the world.
Cross continues his leadership role as International Chairman. Cross has a lifetime of experience and knowledge in executive search, client service and leadership in a number of sectors. He has been with Stanton Chase International since it was founded in 1990 and is currently a Director of the London office, where he was previously Managing Director. As International Chairman, Cross leads the global management team and chairs the Governance Committee.
Each of the other Board Members provides leadership to a key area of client service management.
- Rejoining the Board as Vice Chairman Business Excellence is Panos Manolopoulos who is Managing Partner Middle East. Manolopoulos was previously on the Board in 2011 as Vice Chairman Regions. He has also served as Vice-President of Europe, Middle East and Africa, and as Global Practice Leader for Consumer Products and Services. Manolopoulos joined Stanton Chase in 2003, prior to which he was Managing Director of IKRP Rokas and Partners, one of the largest regional law consulting firms in Southeast Europe. As Vice Chairman, Manolopoulos is responsible for service standards and quality, global marketing and media relations.
- Joining the Board as Vice-Chairman Finance and Administration is Çağri Alkaya who is Managing Partner of the Istanbul office. Alkaya specializes in the Financial Services, Industrial, and Technology practice groups and has an extensive background in financial management and executive leadership. Alkaya’s career in executive search began in 1999, and he joined Stanton Chase in 2006. As Vice Chairman, Alkaya’s focus is on effective financial, corporate secretarial and administrative management.
- Continuing on the Board as Vice Chair Regions is Fiona Lavan who is a Director of the Sydney office. Lavan has a broad and diverse service focus in a wide range of industries and sectors. As Vice Chair, Lavan focuses on strategic expansion planning for all regions to improve global client service coverage and develop new client relationships.
- Staying on the Board as Vice-Chairman of Practice Groups is Mickey Matthews, who is Managing Director of the Baltimore office. Matthews’ client service focus is on the high-tech sector as well as industrial manufacturing, hospitality, and government. As Vice Chairman, Matthews provides global leadership and integration for Stanton Chase practice groups to maximize client service, information sharing and trend identification in each of those sectors.
