Corporate Learning from a Booming Asia Leads to Stanton Chase Charting a New Course

Baltimore, Maryland, USA, November 29, 2004 - Stimulated by the promise of a rapidly expanding economy in the Asia Pacific region, Stanton Chase International has embarked on a "new directions" corporate strategy to maintain their local, regional and global leadership position in the worldwide executive search market.

Recently, Stanton Chase International partners attended a Global Partners' Conference, the 30 th in their history, in Shanghai to elect a new Board and discuss their worldwide corporate strategy. Steve Watson, new Chairman of Stanton Chase and Managing Director of the Dallas office, proclaimed “this has been one of the most powerful meetings ever for Stanton Chase. This represents a major evolution in our culture and has set us on a new course for growth and business worldwide.” Voted by the partners to serve on the Stanton Chase Board with Mr. Watson are R.Suresh, Regional Vice-President Asia-Pacific; Gert Herold, Regional Vice-President of EMEA; Claudio Fernaud, Regional Vice-President of Latin America; Mickey Matthews, Regional Vice-President of North America and George Cross, International Treasurer.

As part of their year long global strategic planning process, Stanton Chase International retained an outside management consultant to drive this critical corporate initiative. “It was highly productive. The Stanton Chase partners unanimously concluded that key performance indicators, investment in the firm and particular attention to key global client relationships and Stanton Chase global branding are top priorities for the firm,” says Gérard Debrinay, CEO of Algoé Consultants (www.algoe.fr).

One of the highlights of the conference was a presentation made by keynote speaker, Jeff MacCorkel, Managing Director of Arthur D. Little. Arthur D. Little is one of the world's first consulting firms with offices in 30 countries worldwide. Jeff MacCorkel shared some of his organization's industry knowledge and functional experience with an emphasis on how to help clients grow and create extraordinary value in the rapidly evolving and dynamic China economy.
